Last year at this time, I told you how my backyard skating rink was doing.
This year I tried everything I could to get it going, but to no avail.  This winter
in Southern Ontario has been one of the mildest on record.  For the longest time
we had no snow.  And when the snow and cold came, it just didn’t last.
Sometimes you can work your hardest to achieve that goal but if conditions
aren’t right, the goal just isn’t going to be achieved through no fault of your own.
There’s always next year to try again.
