TeachersAndFamilies contains educational activities for pre-school, study units
for K-12 students and information for parents, all approved by teachers, and
designed for home use to help children become successful learners. 

The pre-school section contains reinforcement of letters, numbers, colors,

For students already in school, there are hundreds of study units in science,

It’s always a thrill to talk to and to meet readers of The Busy Educator’s Newsletter.  Two  weekends ago I got the chance to meet Glenn Dietzel, a
fellow educator at a workshop here in London, Ontario, Canada.  For any
educator who’s ever wanted to write a book, especially an ebook, Glenn is
the coauthor of  a very informative online course to help you do just that.  I’ve
taken the course and found it very useful in my own writing.  Below is some

Rob Schwartz, technology education teacher in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida USA,
sent in his award winning site.  Here students receive all of their instructions for
projects, view the rubric for grading and the resources needed to finish their
projects. Students sick  at home for over a week come back without missing a
step by completing their work online. The site has already gained local, state,
and international recognition and the 2001 Program of Excellence award from
the International Technology Education Association.

INUIT LIFE IN NUNAVIK

This site is a wonderful way to get a first hand look at traditional and modern
Inuit Life.  The site was created by Inuit students and their teachers at Ulluriaq
School in the remote Inuit community of Kangiqsuallujjuaq.  The website is in
both English and French with some pages in Inuttitut.  A few of the topics
included are Winter Wear, Traditional Tools, Our Community, and A Day In
the Life of an Inuit Child.  The school can be contacted via email to answer
additional inquiries. If you are doing a unit on the Inuit, this site should not
be overlooked.

and universities for their particular needs. Since most of the course objectives
are covered in the site, it is also useful for a beginning AP Biology teacher to
use as a guide of exactly what needs to be taught in preparation for the AP Exam.

workbooks for teachers to download and use for free. Topics focus on English,

teachers from across North America. Interested teachers of students ranging from Grade 7 to 11 can peruse the site, download the units, and even open them in a word processor to edit any way they see fit!
