STUDENTS RIGHTS AND DUTIES
- You have the right to an education. It is your duty to come to school every day.
- You have the right to a safe place to learn. It is your duty to report those who
jeopardize that safety.
- You have the right to fairness. It is your duty to not cheat on assignments by using
someone elses answers.
- You have the right to know your grade. It is your duty to turn work in on time to earn that grade.
- You have the right to an ordered learning place. It is your duty to be orderly.
- You have the right to be treated with respect. It is your duty to respect others.
- You have the right to expect the school and your teachers to follow the rules. It is your
duty to follow rules laid down for you.

THINKPORT.ORG (K-12 TEACHERS)
http://www.thinkport.org
Maryland Public Television (MPT) and Johns Hopkins University's Center for
Technology in Education have teamed up on a multi-million dollar digital
project for the U.S. Department of Education's Star Schools program.
The centerpiece of the project is thinkport.org--a website for K-12 teachers
and families that offers digital resources for classrooms - digital videos,
lesson plans and activities - and offers teachers high-tech tools for
building websites, the capability to identify and contact other teachers in
their subject areas, and build electronic portfolios.
There are also several great interactive field trips on thinkport.org--kids
can travel the Underground Railroad with sights and sounds or do a virtual
archeological dig of Colonial Maryland. And all the resources for classrooms
and digital tools are free (unlike other educational sites which charge schools
subscription fees.)
Check it out at http://www.thinkport.org
