PENNIES FOR THE PLANET (ALL)
www.worldwildlife.org/pennies

World Wildlife Fund's Pennies for the Planet is an educational and fundraising
program targeted at kids. This year's program is focused on big cats. Kids and
educators visiting the site will find an abundance of information about big cats
found around the world, downloadable crafts (lion and tiger masks, Pennies
for the Planet canister wrappers and stickers), a fun quiz, fundraising ideas,
and activities for use in and outside of the classroom that help kids learn about
big cats and the dangers they face. All money donated to the program will go
directly towards the conservation of Sumatran tigers, Amur leopards, and snow
leopards.

A JOURNEY TO A NEW LAND (K-12)
http://www.sfu.museum/journey/

People first arrived in the Americas at least 12,000 years ago. The timing of their
arrival and the route by which they travelled are not known. Did they follow an
inland ice-free corridor route from Siberia to the unglaciated regions south of the
ice sheets? Or did they take a coastal route, travelling by boat down the Pacific
Coast? Did people arrive during the ice age, or not until after the glaciers receded?

This site explores these and other questions, and looks at some of the evidence
and ideas that have been proposed to resolve them.
