This educational web site supports a Physical Education curriculum at Russell Elementary School in Missoula, Montana for the 2005-2006 school years. The Run/Walk Across America challenge, from Haystack Rock located at Cannon Beach, Oregon to Cape Henlopen at Lewes, Delaware, is designed to promote physical activity as a way of life and to encourage the school's 4th and 5th grade students to be more conscious of their health and nutrition.

The Farmers' Museum in Cooperstown, New York, has developed Harvest of History,an interdisciplinary, inquiry-based curriculum for the fourth-grade classroom about New York State agriculture and rural life. The curriculum, meets national and state standards for social studies, science, math, and technology.

Although the curriculum is geared heavily towards New York State, it is a national model for teaching agricultural heritage. The curriculum and associated online activities will be available at no cost to any web user.

ADVENTURE LEARNING FOUNDATION (TEACHERS, GR. 6-12)

Adventure Learning Foundation (ALF), an educational non-profit organization has begun its multi-year "World of Wonders Project".  The World of Wonders Project features a series of Learning Expeditions that are designed to take classrooms on an on-line Adventure Around-the-World.

The Project officially began on October 6, 2004 when the explorers started the first phase - The Mexico Expedition.  Beginning July 1, 2005 the project team begins their third phase with the exploration of South America.
Students and teachers interact with the explorers during the expedition via the Foundation’s virtual classroom at www.QuestConnect.org. The website has been named a USA Today Educator's Best Bet. The information produced for the Expedition is edited into educational materials and suggestions for classroom discussions. There is no cost to any person to become a participant. Free study guides and lesson plans are available at www.QuestConnect.org.

The team of adventurers, headed by ALF President Don Greene, are traveling in a custom designed, specially equipped, satellite-linked expedition vehicle to study the culture, history and natural environment of the people in each country explored Around-the-World.  The Virtual Classroom webpage for each Expedition can be accessible at www.QuestConnect.org.
