DOVE CAMPAIGN FOR BEAUTY (TEACHERS GRADES 4-12)
Last January, I included this site. Since then ad agency Ogilvy & Mather Canada has been awarded the industry's highest prize for a commercial that questions the perception of beauty and became an Internet sensation on YouTube.
The Toronto-based agency scored two Grand Prix awards, including the coveted Film honour, for its Dove Self Esteem Fund "Evolution" ad at the prestigious Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival, which ended on the weekend.
Read the description of the website below:
How did our idea of beauty become so distorted?
Scroll to the bottom of the website to the Evolution Film, click on the link and watch this riveting film and see why it’s been viewed over 5 million times on YouTube.
Named as the best Canadian ad of the year, it’s a must see for students to see how advertisers use digital editing to create phony models.
Click on the Dove Self-Esteem Fund link as well to see how Dove has created a fund as an agent of change to educate and inspire girls on a wider definition of beauty. |
