FIT CITY CHALLENGE (TEACHERS, PARENTS)

After reading how President-Elect Barack Obama keeps fit by spending 45 minutes each day on working out, I was inspired to make a better effort in 2009 to workout every day as well.

The Fit City Challenge is the result of the work of the Mecklenburg County, NC Healthy Weight Task Force and its charge to identify best practices and galvanize the community in overcoming the factors that contribute to overweight and obesity, particularly in children and youth. This site provides excellent tools, motivation and mentoring for both the individual and the community to succeed in addressing the epidemic of overweight and obesity.

Make 2009 your year to become physcially fit. If President-Elect Barack Obama can find 45 minutes every day to stay fit, you can too!
