MRS. STATUM'S CLASS JOHN S. JONES ELEMENTARY (TEACHERS, GR. 4-6)
Dena Statum teaches grade 5 history at John S. Jones elementary school in Rainbow City, Alabama, USA. Mrs. Statum has been voted John S. Jones Teacher of the Year by her colleagues during the 2006-2007 school year. She was also chosen as the 2006-2007 Teacher of the Year for Etowah County School District. In May of 2007, she was selected as one of five state-wide finalists in the Elementary Education category for the Alabama Teacher Hall of Fame which is sponsored by Jacksonville State University.
Dena's website is packed with great information. I really enjoyed seeing all the different reading strategies she uses in her classes. She has posted the projects she assigns, the rubrics she uses to evaluate the projects and student samples to view. Just click on the Activities link and follow it to Newbery Award projects. You'll be in for an incredible treat.

MRS. SERAFINI'S SECOND GRADE AVIS ELEMENTARY (TEACHERS, GR. 2)
Beth Serafini is a second grade at Avis Elementary School in Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania USA. Her website is educational, interactive, and easy to navigate. The web site provides background information in subjects taught in her classroom and also provides parents with important information on school functions, school activities, and classroom policies and procedures. Teachers will find her website beneficial in developing ideas for their own web sites.

MRS. ELLA FRAZIER FOURTH GRADE CHARLES ENGLAND INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL (TEACHERS, GR. 4)
Mrs. Ella Frazier teaches fourth grade at Charles England Intermediate School in Lexington, North Carolina USA. On her website, you can click on links to Homework (download and/or print weekly homework agendas); Word Study and Spelling (Find websites to practice weekly spelling lists, spelling patterns, and vocabulary words); Reading (Find great websites that supplement her basal reading stories. These are great to build background knowledge and improve reading skills); Math (Find great websites that supplement math concepts taught in class. Students can find tutorials and games); Science and Social Studies (Find websites that supplement science and social studies concepts taught in class); and more.
I especially like the Parents and Guardians link. Here you can find links to state, school, and classroom information and links for extra End of Grade (EOG) support and practice. This includes downloads of practice tests for reading and math for grades three to eight.
