KidsReads.com and teenreads.com are two websites that will benefit not only students but busy teachers, librarians and parents wanting to keep on top of the latest books and author news.

KidsReads.com is aimed at students in gr.3-8.  The highly illustrated opening page takes you directly to a short review of the day’s top book, then to a special feature and author interview, new books, question of the week, books that have been turned into movies, book clubs, reading lists and more.

An excellent archive contains past features, reviews of individual and series books, author interviews, trivia and games and a detailed newsletter.

One feature I really enjoyed is the Book Clubs link.  Here you can find tips on how to start and run a book club as well as how to choose what to read. 

Included are guides to some popular books, which include a mini review of the book and discussion questions.
