ScienceMaster is a science learning website, for students, parents and teachers. The site contains information, news, links, pictures, products and services, with content from NASA, the USGS, the EPA, NOAA and leading colleges & universities.
Homework Helper, Jumpstart Science Topics and Learning Galleries are three links that appear on each of the main pages. These links provide great information for study or fun. Under the Homework Helper link are topics that include: Periodic Table of Elements, Scientific Calculator, Sunrise/ Sunset Calculator a Science Glossary and more. Under the Jumpstart Science Topics, there are one page fact sheets arranged into categories for Space, Life, Earth and Physical Science.
Under each of these links are dozens of science
topics. The Learning Galleries each contain a collection of images relating to the following science topics.: Geology, Astronomy, Biology, Medicine and Physical.
The site itself is made up of the following topics: Space, Life, Earth and Physical and Technology. Each of these topics contain information in the form of articles. These articles include detailed information on topics in the news, to biographies of famous scientists to what a geologist does and what it takes to pursue a career in science.
In addition, there are also columns and articles by teachers, learning professionals, scientists and parents, a monthly newsletter with archives of back issues, links to other science sites and free stuff which include images, sound files and software.
ScienceMaster’s goal when it was first formed in 1997 is “to excite young minds about science by integrating information, communication and community with compelling products and services all in a fun-to-use Internet network.” They certainly have lived up to their goal
