Back When For Now written by Marissa Madrid

Reviewed by Nina Woods

A friend of mine recommended this book to me when it was first released. She was was so enthusiastic about it that I had to find out why. First off, let me share that there is nothing fancy about the content. Yet, it is very different because it is personable, full of activities, sometimes humorous, and most important is the fact that I have been able to read the memoirs to my children as a life lesson tool. We since have broadened our conversations, affordable activities, and I even sense higher levels of confidence in all three of us! Every aspect of Back When For Now is open ended for a wide range of audiences like teachers, parents, teens, and just everyday people looking for good clean learning, fun, and life goals. Truly a keeper and I started my holiday list early by sharing this as a unique gift in baskets with some of the materials listed in the book. In these tougher economic times, I am grateful to find something that gives practical approaches to enhancing our lives without added stress.
